Shadowrocket Price: One-Time Purchase, In-App Purchases, and Service Plan Costs

Learn how to check Shadowrocket’s one-time App Store price, restore a past purchase, and distinguish the app purchase from any separate connection service plan.

At a glance

Shadowrocket is a paid app available through the App Store, sold as a one-time purchase. This guide is for anyone considering a purchase, moving to a new iPad, or trying to understand how the app’s cost differs from an existing service subscription. Follow the steps below to verify the app, check its current price and your purchase history, and review your connection settings—without confusing an App Store purchase, an in-app purchase, and a service provider’s renewal charge.

1. How much does Shadowrocket cost? Check the current App Store price

Check the App Store product page when you’re ready to buy. Prices, currencies, and tax treatment vary by storefront, so a price shown in a screenshot from another region may not match what your account will be charged. This guide does not quote a fixed price. Use the price shown on the product page and the amount on the system purchase confirmation screen to verify your current purchase.

A similar app name alone does not confirm that you have the right product. On the product page, check the name Shadowrocket, the developer Shadow Launch Technology Limited, and app ID 932747118. Shadowrocket is available only on Apple platforms, primarily for iPhone and iPad. Check the App Store listing for system requirements.

  1. Open the App Store from our app verification page, confirm the product details, then check the price.
  2. Make sure the App Store is signed in to the personal Apple Account you want to use for this purchase, and check the currency displayed.
  3. Tap the price button, then confirm the app name and amount on the system purchase confirmation screen. The purchase is complete only after you confirm it.
  4. Keep your Apple receipt after purchase. If you need to check the transaction later, compare it with the purchase history on your account.

2. What does a one-time purchase cover? How to check in-app purchases

A one-time purchase means you pay once to get this paid app; you are not charged the same app purchase price again each month just for continuing to open it. The purchase is associated with the Apple Account used for the transaction. It does not buy access to a remote server, and the App Store does not manage a connection service’s data allowance, term, or device limit.

Check “Are there in-app purchases?” separately from “Do I need to provide my own connection configuration?” The app price is the cost of getting the client. In-app purchases listed on the App Store are a separate type of store transaction. The appearance of a subscription list inside the app alone does not mean you are paying Apple for an auto-renewing subscription.

3. What does an app purchase cover, and what does a service plan cover?

An app purchase is not a service plan. The app reads configurations, establishes connections, applies routing rules, and provides diagnostic tools. Whether a remote service is available, how much data it allows, and when it expires depend on the status of your existing service. This site does not provide, sell, or recommend nodes, subscriptions, or other connection services. The steps below assume you already have your own service provider and subscription.

What to check App purchase Existing connection service
Basis for payment App Store price and Apple order Your order agreement with your existing service provider
Main purpose Get the right to use the Shadowrocket app Provide the service and credentials needed for a remote connection
Term and data allowance Does not include a service term or data allowance Check the term and allowance of your existing service
Device limits Check App Store purchase and compatibility requirements Check the number of devices and simultaneous connections allowed by the service

Bottom line: Identify the transaction before deciding whether you need to pay

If the App Store shows that you can open the app but your existing connection no longer works, first check your service term, allowance, and configuration—not whether you need to buy the app again. Identifying what a charge covers helps you find the right place to check it.

4. Moving to an iPad or reinstalling: Find your purchase history first

If you’ve already purchased Shadowrocket, check your purchased apps using the original purchase account before paying again on a new device. The account shown at the top of Settings may differ from the one used for Media & Purchases. To verify purchase eligibility, check the account actually used for App Store purchases. The purchased apps section in the App Store may be labeled Apps or Purchased, depending on your system version.

What to check: Confirm the order on your original device, then find the purchase on your new iPad

Original iPhone or iPad
  • Find the Shadowrocket order in your purchase history.
  • Confirm which Apple Account was used for the transaction—not just which account is signed in to iCloud.
  • Save any configuration data you still need before erasing the old device.
New iPad
  • Open the App Store account page using the account that made the original purchase.
  • Search for Shadowrocket in your purchased apps and check the app name and developer.
  • Use the redownload option shown in the store, then check separately whether you need to import your configuration.

Restoring access to the app and restoring your connection configuration are separate tasks. Check the App Store listing for purchase and compatibility details.

If the product page still shows a price, don’t pay again just to check for an earlier order. First check whether you’re signed in to a different account, whether the storefront region has changed, and whether the app appears in your purchase history. If you still can’t find the order, use the help option in the App Store to check it. Paid apps are generally redownloaded from your purchased apps list; you don’t need to assume that an in-app Restore Purchases button is required.

5. Paid, but still can’t connect? Check configuration and routing

A successful purchase confirms only that the app transaction is complete. The first time you use the app, follow the system prompt to allow the VPN configuration, then import your own existing subscription or connection details. Use Home to check connection and server status, Config to manage rule configurations, and Settings to adjust app settings. A valid App Store receipt does not prove that the remote server, credentials, or current network are working.

The mode selected in Home → Global Routing determines how traffic is handled; it is not a purchase tier. The options below compare routing settings in the same app. Changing them will not renew an expired service or create a new working connection.

Config

Recommended

Traffic is routed according to the rules in your current configuration. A match may go DIRECT or to a specified policy. Check rules such as DOMAIN-SUFFIX and IP-CIDR, as well as the actual target of the final FINAL rule. Don’t assume unmatched traffic always connects directly.

Best for: Using a verified rule configuration for everyday traffic routing.

Proxy

Sends traffic that would normally be handled by the rules through the selected proxy. Use this temporarily to check whether rule selection is affecting access. It won’t fix an incorrect server address, port, or authentication details.

Best for: Narrowing down a rule-related issue temporarily when you already have a working connection.

Direct

Handles traffic directly, so you can compare access on your current network. Being able to reach a website directly does not verify that a proxy server is working.

Best for: Troubleshooting your local network and checking whether the issue occurs only on the proxy route.

  1. In Home, confirm that the correct server from your existing configuration is selected; don’t just check that a server appears in the list.
  2. Check that the address, port, and authentication details match your original configuration, then review the result in Connectivity Test. A timeout means only that this test did not succeed; it does not by itself indicate a payment problem.
  3. Compare the current Global Routing mode with the expected behavior. If you use Config, check which rule file is actually enabled there.
  4. If connections start automatically when the network changes, check Settings → On Demand. This controls connection triggers; it is not a billing setting.

6. Common questions about purchases and renewals

Do I have to pay the App Store every month after buying the app?

The app is a one-time purchase; continuing to use it does not mean buying it again every month. If you see a recurring charge, match it against the actual items in your Apple receipts and Subscriptions, then check it separately from any bill from your existing service provider.

Does updating a subscription renew the service?

They are different actions. Updating a subscription retrieves configuration again from an address you already have and may update the server list or settings. Whether the service term is extended depends on the order status with your original service provider. A successful update also does not guarantee that every connection in the configuration will work.

I bought Shadowrocket on iPhone. Do I need to buy a connection service for iPad too?

Check two things separately: whether you can redownload the app on your iPad using your original purchase, and whether your existing service permits use on that device. App purchase eligibility does not override a provider’s device, concurrent connection, or term limits, nor does it guarantee that both devices will have the same configuration automatically.

Why is the price I see now different from an older screenshot?

Check the storefront region, currency, and date of the screenshot, then view the product page for your current account. A historical price reflects only what was shown at that time. The amount for your purchase is the one on the current App Store system confirmation screen; you do not need to change your existing account arrangements to match an old price.

Open the App Store verification and purchase guide

First verify Shadowrocket, the developer, and the app ID, then decide whether to buy based on the current store price. If you already own the app, check your purchase history first. To connect, follow the guide to import your own existing configuration. Check the app purchase and any service plan separately.
